Lady Tornadoes at the 2016 ESDAA Volleyball Tournament

Last night the Lady Tornadoes opened the 2016 ESDAA Volleyball tournament with a bang. Hosted by the Marie Philip School in Framingham, PA, the event opened with a round robin competition.

Fanwood entered the tournament strong, winning their first three games against Rochester School for the Deaf, Marie Philip School, and New Jersey school for the Deaf (NJSD). They came to their only defeat of the day against Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf (WPSD) landing them #2 in Pool A. This qualified Fanwood for the gold bracket and faced Lexington school for the Deaf (LEX) next.

Fanwood won the first set 28 to 26 but fell to LEX in the second set with a score of 20 to 25. In the third and final set, the LEX took an early lead, but Fanwood didn’t give up and came back to win the game!
